  1. Thank you. Jasper National Park would be perfect for their hiking and running. I am doing a back country hike in July from the top of Sunshine ski resort (near Banff) across the border into the next province. 18.2 k (11.3 miles) each way and elevation gain of 762m (2,500 feet). There will be blog posts, provided I survive. Thanks for reading and commenting. Allan

    1. Hi Wendy. I agree, the stone buildings have plenty of appeal. Not many stone buildings built in my part of the world, anymore. Many of the stone buildings in Jasper are older and fit more with the mountain park planning guidelines of the day. Most new projects are now stucco or siding, as they are cheaper to erect. In Ontario, many houses are built using bricks, which was unusual for me to see when our homes get slapped up quickly with vinyl siding and a few with stucco. Thanks for reading. Allan
