I am taking a short break from my San Diego posts. This post was written way back in June, just after I got my yard into shape. Since then, it has been rain almost every day, with just enough heat and sun to keep things growing. Frankly, its a jungle out there now.

This is the first year in the last three where I have been home before the end of May. I was determined to get my yard whipped into shape and the garden growing as soon as possible. Progress is being made.

    1. July in Edmonton is known as monsoon month, a bit of an exaggeration, but not this year. Rain started in early June and we welcomed it. But, rain and daytime heating combine for a recycling effect and this year has been unusual. My yard is lush and the garden is doing well, as are the mosquitoes. Maybe August will dry out a bit. Cheers Lynette and thanks for reading. Allan
