European Vacation – September 25/19 – Monaco – Part 4 – Lottsa Yachts – Whatever Floats Your Boat

As I mentioned, there was a big to-do on in the Yacht Basin, as the Yacht and Boating Exposition got under way. The enclosure around this event was so large (like some of the yachts), it actually impeded pedestrian movement on the sidewalks alongside it, making walking very difficult to walk, even in single file.

We all think that we have seen beautiful boats and large yachts, but you have seen nothing to compare to the yachts in Monaco.

Whatever Floats Your Boat

So many yachts in all different sizes.

Don’t ask the price, if you don’t like surprises.

So many options and so many colours,

manuals so thick, they would confuse scholars.

Do you buy the sleekest, so you can be first,

or buy used, with lots of problems to be cursed?

Do you purchase the biggest, so you can gloat?

Its all good my friend, whatever floats your boat.

  1. We couldn’t believe the size of some of the boats and yachts, both in Nice and Monaco. Some of them were bigger than our house! I can only imagine what their annual Monaco Yacht Show is like, it is said 35,00 people usually arrived to attend it to admire super yachts such as Oceanco’s 90m/295ft motor yacht DreAMBoat. Thanks for sharing Allan and have a lovely weekend. Aiva

    1. It is amazing what money can buy, is it not. While it might be nice to live in luxury aboard one for awhile, I am not sure I would want to own one. Certainly not on my budget. Thanks for reading Aiva. Allan
