February 19/19 – Winterlude Part 6 – Sunshine Chair Lifts – You Raise Me Up

Our ride pass allowed us to go higher up the mountain for the view and here are the photos of the Standish and Angel chairs. Standish chair goes up a further 275 m and is 816 m long. Angel chair goes up a further 379 m and is 1588 m long.

At the top of Standish chair 7,827.5 feet (2,386 m) ASL
going for a wander on Standish
Standish sun tan. Should have worn sunscreen
riding down Standish chair, without skis. This would have been a ride of shame if we had our skis on
bottom of Standish chair 7,082 feet (2,159 m) ASL
riding up Angel chair
top of Angel lift 8,296 feet (2,528.7 m) ASL
skiing without skis
riding down Angel lift
this lift appeared quite steep when you are going down
almost back to the Village

    1. As I usually am wearing skis when on chairlifts, I seldom ride them down. I must admit the Angel chair had us all saying Yikes! It was steep and kind of like those old IMAX films where you drop off the edge of a cliff. It was a wonderful time. Thanks for reading Angie. Allan
