Jasper in June (Part 9) – Time for Reflection

As I took my early morning stroll down to the lake on the second morning, I thought it was just another windy day, as I saw ripples near the far shore. When I got closer, I realized it was a great day to reflect and be in the moment….

Time for Reflection

Beside calm water

of this pretty mountain lake.

Be in the moment.

clear cloudy water
how Lowe can you go?
even lower
I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now….
fresh dusting of snow adorning mountain peaks
hey there, small fry!

    1. It was a perfect getaway, for sure. The cooler temps were better for our hiking comfort. Thanks for reading and commenting Crystal. Wishing you and your family a Happy 4th of July. Allan

  1. Jasper in summer time looks very lovely, what a beautiful place to photograph! I could easily stay in this place and be forever grateful to be alive. Thanks for sharing and inspiring. Take care 😊 Aiva

    1. It is. Most tourists tend to travel to its more famous cousin, Banff National Park. As a result, Banff, Banff National Park and Lake Louise are usually mobbed, leaving Jasper more uncrowded and serene. I always compare the two….Banff is a shopping center with beautiful mountain scenery…Jasper is the way the National Parks used to be. We hope to get a cabin there again in the fall. That will be the extent of our big travels this year. Thanks for reading Aiva and have a great weekend. Allan

    1. Hi Marcus. Thanks for reading and commenting. Our Canada Day celebrations were a bit dampened this year, both by Covid and rain. Hopefully our friends down South will be able to celebrate the 4th safely. Hope all is well with you. Allan
