The Current Normal – Tiny Roses on My Tree

These photos were taken on June 13/20/21, 2020.

We have a Toba Hawthorn tree in our backyard. The tree is a bit misshapen due to being squeezed by my ManCan Ash that I have since removed. Biut, each year, it flowers in tiny little bundles of rose like blooms. The open white and gradually turn pink until they fade away and drop. Such a pretty display.

    1. They are very pretty. We first saw this tree in our neighbour’s yard and when our Amur Maple died, replaced it with one. Always a joy each spring. You do have other Hawthorns in Ireland. I recall being up near Giant’s Causeway in 2008 and my wife’s father who grew up in Ireland showed us that you could eat the leaves. Thanks for reading Aiva. Enjoy your Sunday night. Allan
