Jasper in June (Part 24) – Something Fishy

Talbot Lake is a picturesque lake along Highway 16, half way between Jasper townsite and Jasper Park Gates, It is surrounded by mountains, quite often filled with waterbirds and apparently has some very good Northern Pike fishing. Several boats are usually locked up along the shore and you can arrange for rental these boats in Jasper Town.

Parking is available and there is an outhouse, which we needed before setting off on our hike. As we watched, a lone fisherman floated slowly out into the lake. The two photo without my watermark were taken by by Patty, using her phone. Didn’t she do a great job?

    1. Thank you. Have a great time in Colorado and air hug your son. We are a two day drive away from our son and daughter and are finding it hard, as the last time we were there was at the start of Covid and no hugs then, either. Stay well. Allan
