The Current Normal – Hosta la Vista

I usually have to wait for a passing rain shower to anoint my Hostas with droplets, but cheated this day during the hot spell, by watering them.

These photos were taken August 18, 2020.

  1. Photography is an art form and don’t be afraid to give yourself permission to create conditions needed for a certain photo or embracing imperfections! That’s what makes photography even more appealing. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 it’s finally sunny in Sligo and we are making the most of it 😀 Aiva

    1. I agree, but full disclosure is OK too. Funny I never got out to do these shots during any of our many rains this year. Hey, sunny in Sligo. Mark it on the calendar. Cool here right now as we transition to fall….11 C yesterday and today and down to +1 tonight. Still covering my tomatoes, as it is supposed to be +20 starting on the 17th. Yay. Thanks for reading and commenting Aiva. Enjoy the day. Allan

    1. Thanks. Exactly, these ones are on the North side of the house for that purpose…also we have heucheras in that bed and I have never seen them do so well as this year. Thanks for reading and commenting. Allan

    1. Thanks. You can tell by my puns that I’m a groan man. We chose hostas for our North planting bed, because they do well in the shade. But, if they get sun, they get huge. Once they grow too big, I split them and the process starts all over. While the flowers do not last overly long, they are beautiful. Thanks for reading. Allan
