The Current Normal – Join Me For Dinner Won’t You?

Another post inspired by our August 26, 2020 bicycle ride. We were almost home, when we could hear this Redtail Hawk calling loudly. Perhaps his tummy was rumbly or maybe he was just lonely for a dinner companion.

Join Me For Dinner Won’t You

Sitting here, master of all I survey,

hoping you’ll join me for dinner today.

What’s on the menu, I’m not really sure,

come a bit closer, the menu we’ll tour.

Don’t fret about my sharp talons and beak,

they’ve got a great wine list, come take a peak.

Dinner will be tasty, all plump and fat,

you still seem uncertain, I can fix that.

I love this restaurant.
Please join me, won’t you?
Waiter, I’m ready to order.

    1. Thank you Bernie. Just musing about what might be going on in this predator’s brain, as he awaits his next meal. Love seeing all the red tail hawks around our rurals. Thanks for reading. Allan

    1. Thanks CarMac. A very beautiful purpose designed bird. That is one thing I will remember from our cycle trips in 2020, watching the hawks soar high above us, giving the call that would strike fear into all mice. Thanks for reading and stay well. Allan
